Thatcher Campaign Fundraiser August 24th

 

(Keizer) Oregon House Majority Leader Wayne Scott (R-Canby) is hosting a reception on Thursday August 24th in honor of State Representative Kim Thatcher (R-Keizer) to help her campaign for re-election to House District 25. The fundraiser is called “A Reception to Celebrate Positive Leadership” and it  runs from 4 PM to 6 PM at J. James Restaurant, 325 High Street SE, Salem.

 

“As State Representative, Kim Thatcher has worked hard to bring accountability to state government. She has been an effective voice for her constituents and an energetic leader in our caucus. We all need her in Salem,” said Scott.

 

“We are hoping to have several current and former state legislators attend the event, along with many local civic and business leaders from Marion and Yamhill counties,” said Thatcher. The reception is open to anyone who wants to meet the candidate or chat with other community leaders in attendance and contributions are encouraged.

 

Representative Thatcher is encouraged by the feedback she’s getting from voters. “I hear from people all over my legislative district who say they want a good education for our kids, more jobs and tougher laws against illegal immigration,” noted Thatcher. “These and other issues are why I want to return to the legislature to keep working for the voters in House District 25.”
