(Headlines as worded by the AP not the CV)
"The sanctions of the Divine law...cover the whole area of human action....The laws which regulate our conduct are the laws of man and the laws of God. " -- Dewitt Clinton, introduced the twelfth amendment, Governor of New York, U.S. Senator.
"[T]he Holy Scriptures....can alone secure to society, order and peace, and to our courts of justice and constitutions of government, purity, stability, and usefulness. In vain, without the Bible, we increase penal laws and draw entrenchments [protections] around our institutions." -- James McHenry, signer of the Constitution.

Once Republicans Are Elected Do They Act Like Tax & Spend Democrats?
The law...dictated by God Himself is, of course, superior in obligation to any other. It is binding over all the globe, in all countries, and at all times. No human laws are of any validity if contrary to this." --William Blackstone, 1765, Blackstone's "Commentaries." (Source: The Christian History of the Constitution of America, page 142, Compiled by Verna M. Hall - 7th printing, 1993.)

"The law given from Sinai was a civil and municipal as well as a moral and religious code...laws essential to the existence of men in society and most of which have been enacted by every nation which ever professed any code of laws. Vain indeed would be the search among the writings of profane antiquity [seculary history]...to find so broad, so complete and so solid a basis for morality as this decalogue [Ten Commandments] lays down." -- John Quincy Adams
"[I]t pleased God to deliver, on Mount Sinai, a compendium of this holy law and to write it with His own hand on durable tables of stone. This law, which is commonly called the Ten Commandments or Decalogue....was incorporated in the judicial law." -- William Findley, Revolutionary soldier, U.S. Congressman.
"The opinion that human reason left without the constant control of Divine laws and commands will...give duration to a popular government is as chimerical [unlikely] as the most extravagant ideas that enter the head of a maniac....Where will you find any code of laws among civilized men in which the commands and prohibitions are not founded on Christian principles? I need not specify the prohibition of murder, robbery, theft, [and] trespass." -- Noah Webster

The Oregon Conservative
Endorses David Brownlow

Monday, June 16, 2008

Oregon has three choices for U.S. Senator; (1) David Brownlow (Constitution Party), Incumbent Senator Gordon Smith (R), and Jeff Merkley (D)

Merkley is a very liberal Democrat who is against the Iraq War. Sen. Gordon Smith is a "Republican-In-Name-Only" who has come out against the Iraq war. David Brownlow has an established record as a consistent conservative, although he, also is against the Iraq War.

This leaves the "Oregon Conservative" with a level of discontent towards all three candidates. The OR Conservative disagrees completely with all three candidates on the Iraq issue.

However, there is no confusion as to which candidate would make the best U.S. Senator. Only one candidate resembles a conservative Republican and that is David Brownlow of the Constitution Party.

Conservative activism has been a hallmark of the entire Brownlow family for 27 years. Dave and Suzanne have always participated in pro-life work. Suzanne Brownlow is the former director of the Oregon chapter of Concerned Women Of America -- work for which she won the "Diligence" Award.

Like many Christian conservative Republicans, the Brownlows joined the Constitution Party (2002) because, like "OC", they realized the Republican Party and many of its candidates had left the core values of the GOP platform. Such feelings were expressed in a
political cartoon drawn last year by their fifteen year-old son, Jace.

Many Christians and conservatives are heart-broken at the direction that the OR and national GOP has taken. As Jace expressed in his cartoon, the Republican elephant needs to be liberated to do what is right and to be a true alternative to liberal political forces.

As to Gordon Smith, he has compromised the integrity of the OR GOP and, apparently, fully intends to continue doing so.

The OR Conservative supports the platform of the OR Republican Party as well as the OR GOP resolutions on same-sex marriage, taxes, property rights, immigration and guns. This makes Brownlow the only possible choice.

Sadly Republicans do not have a Republican who abides by their own Party's platform. But, Republicans do have a choice; one candidate who supports our Republican values. That candidate is Dave Brownlow of the OR Constitution Party.

"...do not forsake me, O God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your might to all who are to come." -- Psalms 71:18
WHICH IS THE REAL ANWR?

Psalms 73:3 - For I was envious at the foolish when I saw the prosperity of the wicked...Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.
