"A moderate by definition is one of three things; somebody who sits around and waits for a majority to form and then joins it, a conservative who is pro-choice, or a liberal."
-- Rush Limbaugh, June 5, 2001

"Tim Nashif, the group's political director, said he will vote for Saxton because he thinks he has the best chance to win in the fall."
"While Atteberry said her group has softened toward Saxton, Right to Life leaders believed they had to back Mannix this year because he has been so committed to the anti-abortion cause. Her group also believed Mannix had a better chance of winning than did Atkinson."
-Oregonian 5/2/06-
Well now, that's what we need; weak-kneed Christian conservative leaders who contradict the principles and information in their very own voter guides. What a fine example of standing up for the Lord's principles. Isn't it nice to know that all the endorsements from Atteberry and Nashif mean, is they've stuck their fingers in the wind for everybody, rather than direct people to the candidates of principle?
Why are these people perpetuating the lie that only the least Republican Republican can win against a Democrat. Why not just vote for a Democrat? Who needs RINOs? The Oregon Conservative
"That decision rankled many religious conservatives. Atkinson has been a consistent anti-abortion vote in the Legislature, and his father, Perry Atkinson, is a prominent Christian broadcaster in Medford.
The elder Atkinson said he was 'hurt to the bone by the Right to Life endorsement decision and charged that the group had abandoned its principles. 'When you've chosen one over the other,' he said, 'you've aborted the other candidate.'"
Hey, what else can be expected from two people who are in Gordon Smith's pocket? Who does Gordon Smith most likely NOT want to be a Republican governor? See veiled threat... |

However, on March 8, 2005, Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI) introduced a bill that was almost identical to the already passed Child Safety Act with one distinction: it did not include the hate crimes bill. Rep. Sensenbrenner did this in an effort to circumvent the House’s prior bipartisan passage of hate crimes legislation.
