- Hoover Elementary Clinic Takes Over Parental Responsibility for Child's Health Care. The clinic accepts children with regular insurance; those without insurance are asked to pay a minimum of $15, but if they can't it's OK. "We don't turn anyone away," she [Judy Cleave] said. [Another avenue for illegal aliens to obtain family health care at citizen taxpayer expense.] (SJ) Also: Sens. Gordon Smith (R-Ore.) and Christopher Dodd (D-Conn.) introduced legislation Wednesday to create a grant program for school-based clinics, Smith spokeswoman Kimberly Collins said. The bill proposes $50 million for the 2007 fiscal year with renewals of that much or more through 2011.
- Three Senate Republicans Commit Hara-Kerry. On Saturday, three Republican senators sealed their defeat in the 2008 elections by voting for a debate that they earlier voted against.
