  • AP Reports "Abbas, Olmert Express Hope for Peace."   [Oh wow. Nobody has ever done that before? Another "tells nothing" article. Would Netanyahu continue the forever dialogue or really get things done?]
  • Israel:   Gov't Politically Blind Says Netanyahu.   "This is a very weak government, which made too many concessions going into the summit," said Netanyahu. (Ynet News)
  • Bush, Rice Won't Address Syria Golan Heights Issue.   However, the official said, Syria's delegate to the parley, Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal al-Miqdad, would be permitted to address the Golan issue if he wished. The report comes after an editorial in the Syrian daily Teshreen published Monday declared that Syria would " attend the Annapolis conference in order to examine the US's commitment to peace."(Jerusalem Post) [Well now, isn't that comforting to know.] (Herb Keinon and AP contributed to this report.) [Spin, spin, spin. Couldn't be written better if it was written by a Syrian advocate. Is this catering to the Arabs/Syrians superb diplomatic work or merely a continuation of forever, useless diplomacy when tougher measures are needed? Are we militarily prepared to be appropriately tough?]
