ABCs of Common Sense and Satire

| Saturday, June 30. 2007 Here is a sign I would like to see in the windows of area retailers. Such as Ace and True Value hardware stores. Those folks who must compete with the Big Box stores. No Habla Espanol It would be offered as a gesture of courtesy to forewarn Spanish Speaking people they may need interpretive ability when doing business within the property. Spare them the embarrassment.
Businesses already post signs warning visitors of their not offering Public Restrooms! |

For those who believe that Socialized Medicine is the answer to their need for affordable Medical Care, they must call 1-800-772-1213 and just try to speak with a Person at our Social Security Administration.
But only if you have twenty or more minutes to waste playing their silly games on a computerized (pre-contact) interview system.
This is when you get to speak clearly while answering all the questions the computer asks. Yes, the exact same question the real person will ask you again . . . if and when they ever come on line.
Now, imagine if your need was to get answers about a medical concern or a prescription need and everybody in the USA was trying to call with their problem at the same time as you were. |

Wednesday, June 27, 2007 Headline: Wider Sale Seen for Tainted Toothpaste from China

So where have all our news media's "Investigative Reporters" gone when the smell of Industrial Chemical Waste is so prevalent and obvious to the nose by simply walking into a Discount Shoe Store where they claim people will spend less. Try a dose of that on an early AM before they have the store aired out.
Or, when your hands reek of Chemical Waste after touching the rubber grips found on the more affordable Fitness Equipment. Why not get fit and poisoned at the same time. Can anyone say, Kidney Failure?
Perhaps the toothpaste manufacturer could include a discount coupon for a vision test? |

I'm confused
New South Salem High girls basketball coach . . . accused of rape
Well, he is now only working as a volunteer, it didn't happen on school property and it didn't involve a minor or a student, so then is this just an Issue . . . and Not problem?
Perhaps our new Attorney General Kate "The Planner" Brown will help us out. |

Sunday, June 24, 2007 Ah Diversity!!
One problem Police now frequently suffer is that when chasing a suspect who has bailed from a vehicle and running on foot, others in the area who are not involved may steal the car which in many cases are already stolen.
Yes, the Police vehicle is also at risk for being stolen, but less of a concern. |

KATU TV-2 News tonight reported that due to our tighter border controls the farmers are not getting enough berry pickers.
Bull Puckie, I say. So lets have some reality.
#1 There are no shortages of Strawberry Stands here in the Salem area and they all seem to be offering fair pricing with good inventories.
#2 If that sob story was true I could see the positive side of US Citizens having less exposure to Filthy Hand Syndrome. What about the pickers using latex gloves. Gag!
Note: I wonder if the now quarantined and virus suffering students at Willamette University want a some more of Cesar in their Salad?
#3 Most of the Illegal Aliens are painting or re-roofing houses for $20. an hour rather than messing with a few lousy berries.
#4 I suspect today's procession of 400+ Police ehicles, (all gathered at one time and one place) in Salem likely sent more Illegal Aliens running for the Border than any increased Border Patrol activity could ever chieve.
Note: Today's procession certainly brought some silence to the areas law enforcement radio traffic. Could be the motel parking lots are filled with black and whites. |

Thursday, June 21, 2007 I called Gordon Smith's office to ask about the Senate Bill he is said to be working upon and they begrudgingly admitted that may be the case.
I asked if there was somebody with whom I could speak with relative to that Bill and again I was shunted off to another staffers voice mail.
Its easy to understand how it is that Gordon suffers from a disconnect with Oregonians. |
|
Tuesday, June 19, 2007 I heard it today on Lars numerous times where Tony Snow said in all seriousness, "did you know that 40% of Illegal Aliens have PhD's?"
And, I have heard Bill O'Rielly say that he believes that of the 12 Million Illegal Aliens in the US today, that only 4 Million are actually working in the US and even fewer of them are taking jobs from US Citizens.
Such is the view from 37,000 feet or speeding down a freeway in a Limo with dark tinted windows.
Let them eat cake. |

Tuesday, June 19, 2007 The folks at Safeway are offering 10 Del Monte Fruit Naturals for only $10.00. Zowie, what a deal!
It looks as we have a choice of 8-oz. plastic containers of pineapple and several melon options.
But now, with recent events reaching the news I question what all Del Monte might consider . . . Natural?
Tell me, do you suppose a Clorox bath would spoil the flavor?
-----------------
P.S. Its a club price. Perhaps the Montezuma's Revenge club? |
| Sunday, June 17, 2006 What Does That Tell You? Houston, we have a Gas problem!
My local Jiffy Lube has reduced the price of their Signature Service by 1/3.
1/3 off! Golly, that's a chuck of change.
That tells me that less people are changing their oil.
That tells me that more people are driving less.
That tells me that tire sales will suddenly drop.
That tells me fewer auto repairs will be needed.
That tells me that body shops will fix fewer crashed cars.
That tells me that fewer cars will be sold by our local dealers.
That tells me fast food outlets will sell less fast food.
That tells me that Hallmark Cards sales will suffer.
That tells me that party store sales will suffer.
That tells me that Beer sales will suffer.
And, it tells me that more of the money that isn't being spent on Gas is going to National Big Box retailers such as JC Penny, Home Depot and Safeway, which will drain more dollars from our local economy which can't afford such a loss for very long.
What does that tell you? |

Thursday, June 14, 2007 I seem to be getting something done. Is anybody out there helping?
http://wesupportamerica.org
The beauty of calling businesses and asking they look at this www site is their simply knowing it exists and sometime in the near future they might be pressured to display such a Public Notice, is enough for some to start the process of change now. This so as to not to be caught with their pants down.
I'm not so concerned with how many post it, as that is secondary.
Fear of Loss is the world's greatest motivator. Lets use it. or lose our Nation!
Make a few calls, we all know what we have to lose. |

Traveling East on D Street in Salem yesterday afternoon I passed North Salem High School and could not help but notice the several early teen Hispanic girls that were walking away from school and were at various stages of pregnancy. So much for pillow fights.
Are tight fitting t-shirts considered Maternity Wear today? Gross!
A few blocks past the school I spotted several cars parked along D Street and occupied by what looked as older or adult Hispanic males.
That reminded me of the cars in Atlantic City that were parked along the street leading from a casino's main employee entrance where the Check Cashing (armored car) was stationed.
Me thinks that if I were a Cop I might investigate what those folks on D street were up to and why. But then I guess parking along the main street leading from a High School isn't a crime in this PC world, now is it? |

Thursday, June 14, 2007 Oregon's strawberry crop at an all time low
Can't get pickers, they say.
Hundreds of Mexican teenagers meandering aimlessly along Lancaster Dr. today and not one Berry Picker in the bunch.
Just like the Gringo kids they are not allowed by the State to work in the fields. We give them low rents in exchange for field work and they now work in the construction field.
Just as well now I suppose that likely as not somebody would get stabbed for their Berry Ticket and then the Police would yellow ribbon 200 acres plus and destroy the crop looking for the knife. |

How about that!
I dropped by the Burger King on South Commercial at Madrona Ave. here in Salem this noon and invested in a $1.00 Whopper Junior.
Hard to beat, right? I do this twice a week or so. No fries, burger only.
Much to my surprise I noticed a Bunch of new fresh faces behind the counter and one was even a Blond. So, the service was a bit slower than normal but then it worked for all of us who were waiting with receipts in hand.
And, I denoted the staff today was 90% Gringo where only a few days ago the group was 100% Hispanic save the Gringo Manager.
And yes, all of the language being shared by those workers in the food prep area was 100% English!! No screaming in Spanish. Delightful!!
I looked around and didn't see any Big White Bus labeled Homeland Security.
As I recall this happened before back in the 90's, so lets see if it holds better this time around.
------
P.S. I called the corporate office of Boss Enterprises Inc. 3935 Hagers Grove Rd Se Salem, OR: 503-585-1366, selected to leave a message for Karen, mentioned my visit of today, told them of my appreciating the staff using the English language, thanked them for the change, if there was any change, and suggested they do more of whatever they did or didn't do. |

Tuesday, June 12, 2007 Well now, if the Pentagon thought it was possible to Spray Bomb straight males into Queers, perhaps we can reverse the process.
We can fly over Frisco with some Anti Gay Spray and claim its a Gypsy Moth sterilent. Its close.
I'll bet the water saved in the bath houses would pay for the program.

Tuesday, June 12, 2007 What all was in your Salad package?
A 6-month investigation revealed that at least 90 percent of the workers had false identification and some had criminal records.
Federal agents said the fake Social Security numbers were either made up or stolen.

Makes you wonder how many had TB, Hepatitis, Tape Worms and other contagious and communicable diseases?
Lets hope they give them physicals and tell us what they found. |

Saturday, June 9, 2007 You Want Cheese With That?
So the Police found the Hispanic male that only minutes earlier had run from a Motor Vehicle Accident, stopping off at a Burger King about a mile from the collision location.
I suspect he was either hungry or planned to give his girlfriend the keys so he could claim innocence.
What will you bet that he has a lengthy criminal history?
Ah Diversity!! |

Pitchforks for Pitt Bulls?
ALOHA, Ore. -- The Spanish-speaking owners of four pit bulls were fined $2,488. after the dogs escaped from their yard and terrorized the neighborhood for the sixth time in recent weeks.
Now, try Googling to Buy a good old Pitchfork (an excellent defense tool when dealing with a mad dog) and see what you get.
Curious, no? |

Friday, June 8, 2007 Headline: Peter Pace Out As Joint Chiefs Chair
My guess he was having the same problem with Homosexuals in the military was we do with them at our roadside rest areas.
Proof again what the truth will buy us today. |

Thursday, June 7, 2007 As a friend in Tillamook County explains, his Illegal Alien neighbor (with large family) who has been working in the dairy industry for years has used his Tax Free earnings and benefit of employer provided housing to build and buy a home in Mexico to which he plans to return in a few more years and retire to the good life.
In the meantime we Oregon Taxpayers have paid for all of their medical expenses and education for his children, all of whom plan to join him in Mexico when that time comes.
They don't need or want no stink'en USA. |

Please note, the reason some schools are having their graduation exercises at the State Fair Pavilion or the Salem Armory and not at the school property, is those student bodies are most likely to suffer from Gang Violence. Isn't Diversity Wonderful?
These locations are unique in being away from populated areas and allow Police agencies to better manage and disperse any crowd or large disturbance which may arise and force exiting traffic onto thoroughfares such as Silverton Road.
The Police will also barricade some street and limit travel over a large area so as to relieve the potential of drive-by shootings or violence spilling into the immediate residential neighborhoods. --------- Salem High school graduations are here

Saturday, June 2, 2007 A few weeks ago the Izzy's Pizza restaurant on South Commercial St. in Salem was featured on KPTV-12's "Dirty Dining" segment and guess what?
Soon after they had a sudden management change and KPTV returned to learn they had also cleaned up the store and the place was hopping with the parking lot jammed!
Oh yes, I am told that cleaning up the place included getting rid of the large staff of Hispanics that had infiltrated the workforce and that was obvious in the last visit aired on KPTV. Lots of bright shinny faces!
So I was wondering if the owners of the KFC restaurant down the street might take a hint from Izzy's success and make similar staffing changes as it was obvious they suffered from the same disease.
Today I saw happen what I had suggested long ago. They Bull Dozed the place and hauled it off in dump trucks.
Guess that's just another way of making a staffing change. |

Beware the U-Haul Van!
KPTV Fox -12 is live reporting this morning of a HUGE 50 plus person "Possible Gang Fight" having occurred at a Vancouver City Park, where a teenager is said to have been shot.
They also explain how when the Police arrived the crowd was dispersing and little of any evidence remained of the massive altercation. Just as it happens in Salem, Woodburn, Hillsboro, Beaverton, Gresham and many other communities across the state.
What I have come to learn is the Gang Members not only use their Cell phones and Text Message abilities for crowd management, they are also starting to use Rented Moving Vans that allow them easy ability to trans-port large numbers of fighters to a location and then to quickly and quietly slip the group away from the scenes or on to a new locations where the fight continues.
Is that a new neighbor or is my street about to become a blood bath and are our children, who are off to visit a friend, about to become exposed to random gunfire?
What I expect will come of this new concern:
We the US Taxpaying Citizens will again lose more of our security with now having even more fears and a need to keep an eye on something that only a few weeks ago we assumed was an all Innocent.
Isn't our having to secure our belongings from the Paper Boy bad enough?
And, our worthless Legislators will enact some new laws limiting our ability to Rent Moving Vans while continuing to allow more of Mexico's Criminal population to evade our land as if it were a Ride Free Day at Disneyland. |
