As the dealer on the TV Shopping Channel explained, "these Gems are in limited supply as they come from Mexico and we all know how unsettled things are . . . down there."
No, I don't suppose that many in the US know just how Unsettled Mexico is and how their diseased and crime ridden society is infecting our country.
Not enforcing the border is equal to opening the doors on our prisons. |

While at the clinic the other day and waiting for my wife I noticed an elderly woman leaving the exam room area and walking towards the pharmacy.
It was then she met and stopped to talk with one of the nurses asking her, "what should I do with that red box I have that's filled with used needles, its says I should dispose of them in a special way, but we live in the country and burn all our garbage in the wood stove?"
I didn't hear the answer but their meeting ended with mutual grins and the nurse patting the elderly woman on the shoulder. |

Headline: Kesey bus restoration project looking for funding
Lots of followers have pledged money but as usual most can't seem to find an out-bound mail box.
Curious? |

So, if Sexual Preference is Not a consideration in government hiring practices, why then do we see so many Lesbians working in City and County agencies? They are thick and especially so in the regulatory (planning and code) and parks departments.
Example:
Looking at the Cigarette Smokers all lined up in the 500 block of SE Hawthorne (outside Multnomah County's office building) sidewalk I can see how the street should be re-named ... Bull Run Boulevard! |

As the 20 something couple explained to the K-12 news reporter, the Armed Robberies of the Shari's Restaurants all over the Metro area, . . . " it really isn't a problem as long as nobody gets hurt. "
Guess its time to expand my reality to include a new dimension. That being . . . an increased level of Crime and Violence is acceptable.
Oh yes, the gun toting bad guy has black hair, brown eyes and has an Olive complexion. Not a word about him being Hispanic even though after viewing the surveillance video some might draw that conclusion.
Me, I would start looking at recently fired dishwashers. |

Police quell "
Christmas brawl at Tacoma Mall"
Officers arrest woman, man with shotgun
December 24th, 2006
Now for the best part of the story:
The fight Saturday didn’t appear to faze customers. Thirty minutes after it
broke out, a long line of children and their parents waited to visit
Santa Claus.
The only evidence of the brawl was a pile of broken glass being swept
up at the portrait kiosk.

Did you catch that,
Westinghouse is selling China nuclear reactors?
Did ya also catch that Westinghouse is now owned by Toshiba?
The Japanese are selling US nuclear technology to China!
No problem as we get to tax any profits the Japanese happen to leave on the floor back here in the states.
My guess there will be some and well enough cash to help the bureaucrats keep their government wheels turning.

I think we need a few more "New Business Incubators" here.

Weyerhaeuser Co. said Monday it is permanently closing two veneer technologies manufacturing operations in Oregon --- a plywood mill in

Hey, do we have a new Friend in Mexico?
It look as el Flipper is doing for us, what our government won't! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Headline story: Mexican soldiers have captured a suspected drug cartel boss in the most significant arrest since President Felipe Calderon sent thousands of troops to restore order in a western state terrorized by drug gangs, the military said Sunday.
Mexican investigators say Elias Valencia is one of several figures who have run the cartel since his father, Armando Valencia, was arrested in 2003. He and the others were arrested with several hundred pounds of marijuana and an arsenal of firearms, Casio said.

So I'm trying to park at the main City Library parking lot when the Gomez
family (of ?????) shows up in their oil-smoking, gas-fume reeking, beater
Ford SUV and proceed to Enter the multi-level parking structure going
the Wrong Way!! Guess the BIG arrows weren't printed in Spaniel!
Then after creating all kinds of havoc the woman driver reaches a neutral,
out-of-the-way location by parking in the drive-up book return lane. Swell!
That's when dad pops out from the passenger seat wearing his Oakland
Raider Hoodie and makes for the entry door. About then the two back
doors fly open and a gaggle of little kids squirt out and begin running in
the heavy traffic with an older brother bounding after them in hot pursuit.
About the time big brother has corralled all his little brothers and sisters
dad makes it back to the Ford Explorer and away they went and none of
them wise to the mess they have created in backed-up traffic waiting to
use the return book drop.
Golly, I always wanted to experience a 10 minute traffic jam at the library!!

Mt. Hood climber's cell phone silent
Excuse me, but isn't the value in Mountain Climbing found in the challenge and thrill of facing danger and/or beating death?
The lost climbers didn't set out to take a walk in the park. But then, in Salem a walk in the park can often present a challenge and include plenty of danger. |

Guess that wasn't one of them driving the late model Ford econo-box I saw about an hour ago in Mexalem driving like a mad man with cutting off other drivers and breaking about every driving law possible.
It must have been some other Illegal Alien that was barely big enough to see through the steering wheel.

Creative Conservation!
Consider the Energy Savings that could come if the www News people just posted e-headlines like "20 & 40" and allow us to insert them into a Story Template like "Baghdad bombing killed ___ and wounded ___ ."
An electron saved is an electron saved!
But then, I can see how that could get confusing when reporting the results of a Gang Fight at a Woodburn 7-11. |

Headline story from 2010
Today, the bodies of Latisha Hansen-Phillips and Percebil Cohen-Cohen were discovered today as they lay on the Pacific Coast Nature Trail they both help create.
The deaths are being attributed to a chance encounter with one of the increasingly common
Poison Gas Clouds which are drifting to the US
. . . from China.
Beijing residents warned to stay indoors as pollution worsens...

While dining in a Mexican restaurant the other night I noticed that one of the waitresses was keeping her two small children in a nearby booth where they were entertaining themselves with coloring books and the occasional loud and typical in-family fight.
Swell, I always wanted to eat dinner at a Mexican day-care.
What was interesting was how the mother was spending her spare time teaching her kids Spanish, even while speaking English to her coworkers.
No doubt about it, they have No intention of assimilating.

Its amazing how every year the TV folks come to Salem and remote broad-cast the annual Festival of Lights Parade, and they always bring with them Huge Flood Lights so viewers can see all the wires and duct tape used to create the " Lighted
" floats. |

Headline:
Oregon economic growth cooling
The Salem area has little fear as we never saw any up-swing and have little
or nothing to lose.
Our thanks to Ted for fostering the New Phrase . . .
No Gain, No Pain!
What, me worry?

The Oregon State Police Officer repeatedly said, "Mr. Kim did absolutely nothing wrong." Mistakes yes, wrong no! Hello? I sure as heck hope he doesn't seek a second career in Travel Planning.
Seriously speaking, the hard truth is Jim Kim earned and excellent income in his career of discovering and investigating new, different or undiscovered tools, routes, concepts and ideas that allowed he and others to become more productive and successful.
He was a creative person who challenged tradition. Not that I would know anything of challenging tradition and the resulting pain or gain.
For Jim to seek a different route or less traveled road was totally predictable as he was a rebel. The error was that he came from what is often a Virtual World and got caught in a Real World situation where re-booting is not an option.
His gravestone should read,"Don't try this at home." |

The spokesperson for Mt. Hood Meadows tells TV News the wait and effort
to rebuild Hwy 35 was well worth it.
Golly, I'm so pleased to hear that.
Do you suppose they and their free spending customers will send we dutiful
Oregon Taxpayers a thank-you card?
Not! |

Basic Questions:
Should we expect a Bank Robber to leave a tip for the teller?
Should we expect a Rape Victim to marry their attacker?
Should we expect a Shooting Victim to buy the shooter a gun?
Should we expect those who have Stolen their way into the USA to Stop Stealing once they have crossed the border? |
